UK house prices rose at an annual rate of 2.3% during Q4 2019, up from Q3’s 1.5%, a regional breakdown of the Halifax House Price Index has found. Despite the positive end to the year, the regional breakdown of the data by IHS Markit revealed that 2019 saw the housing market endure its weakest performance since 2012.
